Some of the content on this website is generated using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools such as Large Language Models (LLMs) which emuate human behaviour. This page discloses exactly how and when we use these tools.

Chat transcripts

The contents of the chats are generated by a Large Language Model (LLM) and then post-edited by a human. In some languages, notably French and German, the generated texts are generally so fluent, idiomatic and grammatically correct that they require little to no editing. In other languages such as Irish the generated texts are less good and we put them through a lot of manual post-editing, sometimes even a complete rewrite.

Sound recordings

The sound recordings which accompany the chat transcripts are generated fully automatically by a speech synthesiser. They are not checked or corrected by anyone.

Chat personas

The headshots of the people you are chatting to are not photographs of real people. They have been generated by This Person Does Not Exist.

Everything else

All other content on this website, if not disclosed above as AI-generated, has been authored fully by humans.
